About the Conference F+EU22

"Dear young friends! Only conversion of heart can make our world, which is full of terror and violence, more humane. That means patience, justice, prudence, dialogue, integrity and solidarity with victims, the needy, and the poorest, limitless dedication, love even unto death for the sake of the other. When you have understood that quite deeply, then you can change the world as committed Christians."
I wish I had a million young Christians or even better, a whole generation who are for their contemporaries ‘walking, talking social doctrine’. Nothing else will change the world but people who with Jesus devote themselves to it.”
— Pope Francis Foreword of the DOCAT:
What to Do?, Catholic Social Teaching for Youth

We at Forum + hear these words of Pope Francis as a true challenge, a challenge that drastically increased in the last two years. Challenges and possibilities facing humanity in the post-pandemic world are yet to be discerned. “The current crisis has highlighted numerous contradictions of the economic and political system, while unresolved challenges remain and require the joint dedication of many parties”, Pope Francis said November 17. 2021 in his speech to “Justice and Peace Commissions of national Catholic Bishops’ Conferences”. This is why we decided to dedicate the topic of the international conference in 2022 to these three particular aspects of Catholic Social Teaching: generous openness to others - solidarity, strong cooperation in the effort for the common good - unity, through an authentic commitment to others, that is - responsibility.
